About Cheryl

For Parrots is dedicated to Griffin, a sweet CAG who moved into my heart,
opened my eyes, and set me on my path. I miss you, Bird.

As a designer, I wanted to use my skills to help spread the word about what is happening in the world of parrots, both in the wild and in captivity. This site is the product of many hours of discussions, comments, photo sharing and support from the individuals on the Organizations for Parrots page.

From these discussions, I have created these posters for people to use wherever they may be to help spread the “word of the bird”.

I have been volunteering for a variety of parrot-focused organizations since 2008, primarily by donating technical expertise, graphic design, facebook/website administration and photography. I am a founding Admin of the Crazy Bird Ladies, a Director of the Parrot Resource Centre, and a member of the World Parrot Trust. In 2000, I helped care for wild seabirds who were victims of a Canola oil spill (Vancouver, BC).
